It’s not every day that you see a charity food truck, let alone one owned by a real estate company!
The brief for this not for profit coffee & ice cream truck was that it needed to be fun & family friendly while at the same time showcasing the brand and working within the national brand standards, as well as not changing the structural integrity of the vehicle.
One of the limitations of a food truck is obviously size, and we needed to figure out the most effective use of space to get a freezer, a fridge, a coffee machine, benches and up to 6 people all into the back of a Ford Transit at any one time while keeping the truck balanced enough for driving.
We were able to combat this with strategic benches with removeable portions, open shelfing, over head storage and a fake grass roof which made it appear more open, as well as having windows installed in one side of the truck to bring in natural light.
Working with some great national brands such as Atomic Coffee, Tip Top & Anchor we were able to build on their knowledge to arrange systems that work as well as a pricing structure that worked within the strict budget of the charitable causesk.
